Here’s to the Class of 2022!

Flint Hill School’s Senior Class of 2022 has gone through so much in such a short period of time. Who would have thought that in the span of 4 years we would go from small, nervous first-year students to confident student leaders? Our experiences throughout the years have molded our grade into a unique, hardworking, class, regardless of what challenges the world has thrown at us.

We started off as young, apprehensive freshmen who grew into acquainted, comfortable sophomores. About three-quarters of the way through our sophomore year, we were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We thought we were going on an extended spring break; what we didn’t know was that we would be away from the building and each other for the next year and a half.

We had to learn how to educate ourselves and stay engaged while at home and in a non-school setting. We had to learn how to not isolate ourselves, and how to stay social through a screen. We had to remain diligent and hard-working while still protecting our mental health.

We came back to school for our final year of high school, and even this year was interrupted a few times by outbreaks of the COVID virus and its variants. Though our only full year of high school was freshman year, we stood up, became student leaders, and set an example for the rest of the school community as to how to bounce back from challenging times.

We have gone through four, long, hard years of high school, each year presenting its own set of challenges for us to navigate through. To the Class of 2022, congratulations! We did it!
